England 5-1 Croatia: Goals and Highlights

September 9th, 2009 | By: Daryl | 8 Comments »

For those who weren’t lucky enough to see it live, or for those who did but want to watch it again. Or even for those who want to see what it looked like on Croatian TV (I’m assuming HR2 is Croatian).

Happy days.

I want Croatia to fail qualifying for the sake of revenge. But for them to miss the playoffs, Ukraine almost HAS to be us. Not sure if it’s a willing sacrifice…

Meanwhile, amazing performance, to say the least. I’m not sure I really can criticise any of the players. Qualifying was such a cake when you consider all our other qualifying hardships. Sweet, sweet day.

HA! What a game. I can’t resist watching the goals over and over again. It feels great to be able to sit back and watch Croatia and Ukraine have a scrap for second place! Let’s hope it’s Ukraine, just for the sake of revenge (as said by John).

By the way, I just wanted to add that, Croatia, in their history has never lost by more goals.

Virgil, that is some statistic. I read somewhere that if the England-Croatia clash is a two-legged encounter, it’s 9-2 to England (add in the 4-1 result in Zagreb last September as well). Mind-boggling indeed.

Hi there UNKNOWN,

Sometimes emails accidentally end up in spam. Please re-send the email.

Also, I can’t help asking this… Did you mean to write ANONYMOUS instead of UNKNOWN? Or have you genuinely forgotten your own name?
