McClaren To Wield Axe?

Hopefully Steve Mac will wield his axe, chop a few big names down to size, and add some fresh blood when he names his England squad tomorrow for the friendly against Holland on November 15th.

Aaron Lennon is back from injury and looking impressive for Spurs, so I’m expecting the dribbletastic right winger to get a well deserved starting spot.

A number of England’s impressive Under 21 squad will also be waiting by the phone, with Theo Walcott, Nigel Reo-Coker, Leighton Baines and Micah Richards all in with a realistic shout.

Outside of that, Kevin Nolan and Joey Barton probably deserve their chance to revitalise England’s sleepy midfield.
