Er..make that 19, Foster is out as well.
They are falling like flies – Ben Foster is now out of the England game tomorrow, injured. The Birmingham keeper will be replaced by youngsters Scott Loach and Blackburn’s Frankie Fielding – which means it really is curtains for Robert Green and David James, and also means that my headline is not actually accurate.
Joe Hart will obviously be in goal then, but good to see Fabio look to youth instead of just calling David James up again, though I do feel a wee bit for Rob Green.

Two games, Two wins. Where from here?
So that was good. Supposedly the hardest game in the group, against the team that beat the current World Champions, away, and we picked up a pretty convincing win. The Swiss had a couple of good spells that made Hart look awkward at the back, and Xherdan Shaqiri scored an absolute screamer, but for long spells we were in total ... [read more]
England Vs Switzerland Preview and Liveblog
“It’s not that awful. Like the fella says, in Italy for 30 years under the Borgias they had warfare, terror, murder, and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and the Renaissance. In Switzerland they had brotherly love – they had 500 years of democracy and peace, and what ... [read more]
Sometimes its hard to like anyone
So…the Wayne Rooney affair. If you’ve been living under a rock (or as I had been over the weekend, somewhere away from the internet), it was widely reported in the press that England’s talismanic striker had indulged in some extra martial business, with a prostitute, while his wife was pregnant. Fabio ... [read more]
England vs Bulgaria (5-1 – overly optimistic?) Liveblog
England are yet to have their post World Cup watershed moment – France have installed a new coach (albeit an appointment that was arranged during the tournament) and held crisis talks, Brazil too have a new manager, Italy have done the same and even brought back Antonio Cassano. England have changed little.
Nevertheless, a victory tonight is expected against a Bulgaria side ... [read more]

Injuries abound as England stutter toward qualifying opener
So England’s Euro 2012 Campaign kicks off on Friday against a (thankfully Berbatov less) Bulgaria, and the main thing is…well the squad is decimated. Lampard and Terry had already announced they couldn’t take part (although some may have breathed a sigh of relief there), Bobby Zamora is out just as he ... [read more]

Match Preview: Liverpool v. Manchester United, 02.11.12
Liverpool travel to Manchester and Old Trafford to face United for the second time in two weeks in a match that, depending on your resting heart rate, is either mildly exciting or something that's possibly life threatening. There's as much to cover off the pitch as there is on, but ...

Liverpool v. Manchester United: The Past Four Years
In the past four seasons, Liverpool have played seven games under three managers against Manchester United in the league. Four have been Liverpool victories, two have been won by United, and one has been a draw. And with match number eight coming up on the weekend, it seemed like a ...
Video: Andy Carroll v. Tottenham
It may not have been a man of the match-calibre performance, as those honours would have to have gone to one of the defenders—and probably either Glen Johnson or Martin Skrtel. And he likely didn't even have as good a game as his previous two against Wolverhampton and Manchester United. ...
Former youth team player offers refreshing take on Terry
You may or may not have seen this earlier today. I retweeted it via @JoeTweeds a few hours ago. Either way, it's a very good read and a refreshingly different take on John Terry than the ones we've been force-fed over the past few months. No, he's not a monster. Sorry, ...

Profits before people... Can I get a mic check?
If there's one thing I've learned from the Occupy Wall Street movement, it's that all the protests in the world (bin bags, black scarves, etc) mean nothing in the face of the capitalist juggernaut. Yesterday Arsene Wenger went on record saying that rather than buying Eden Hazard for 30 million ...
