England vs Egypt – now A Big Game

UsponTerry_482x449We’ve complained alot, England fans, about friendly matches. Everytime is followed by a round of managers moaning that its pointless having England friendlies, followed by pundits, and to some degree supporters about how they feel a bit of a chore.

Next Wednesday England run out at Wembley to launch their new kit, to prepare for the World Cup group game against Algeria by playing Egypt, their local rivals and recent winners of the African Cup of Nations.

It could have just been a run out, even with the World Cup approaching, but with the defensive issues that Fabio is facing means this is a big opportunity for quite a few players to book their places on the plane to South Africa.

First up – the position of Left Back. Now that Wayne Bridge has ruled himself out and with Ashley Cole still far from a certainty to be match fit for South Africa, someone is going to have to step up and impress. Smart money is on Leighton Baines, could be a big night for him.

At Centre-Half, new Captain Rio Ferdinand is injured, as is definitely out. John Terry will play, but needless to say he’s got a bit to prove nowadays. Hopefully it’ll bring the best out of him, and whoever he’s partnered with.

Right back is still a bit of an issue too. Glen Johnson is currently injured, so there’s a chance for someone to nick a spot there. And lest we forget that the position of Goalkeeper is hardly set in stone. So the whole back five will have something to prove.

And as Egypt showed at the CAN, they are a good side, and they’ll want to beat England. Even its just to put the pressure on Algeria in SA.

All in all, its the most exciting friendly we’ve had in ages. Roll on Wednesday.

no bopdy can deny that egyptian national team is the best in afruica and overall middel east with a proof of 3 consistant wins for africa cup

algerian team are a very good team but they realy have a very bad attitude as it shown with LOTFI and many of them

hope the best for egypt against england cause it’s realy one of the most taff games egy gonna play
and by the way all media in egypt supporting our team

hope the best for england in wc and hope that they gonna beat all and get the cup

  • anonymous

well the best team in africa by a long mile against england, tbh its a close match but i think egypt have a chance. not only did they win the african cup of nation 3x in a row but they scored 3 goals against brazil, beat italy and i think if they play as well as they did, they can really do well. also about algeria- egypt is def better as you saw the hard way in the cup of nations where you were thrashed 4-0, but anyway i think it will be a good test for england for the world cup

  • http://www.totalsportsmadness.com Sammy

it is not as easy as it seems for England against Faroes…..I mean they are the african Champions After all and will give english team a real run for the money…..but if Rooney plays he will eventually prove to much for them…..

  • eygptdie dogs

    egpt lose

  • Let the Truth be heard

Best of luck to both teams tonight, I hope its going to be a great and exciting game. Good luck to Egypt I hope they play well and are good representatives for the African football. Good luck to England and their campaign in the world cup. And to all them Barbaric Algerians out there stop bragging about which team is best or not. Yes, you have great potential players but not the right mind to play football as a professional team, a great football team has not only talent, strategy, and soul but also fair play something your side lacks of till this day, hopefully the African Cup was a lesson for the Algerians to learn from, so that they can start playing ‘ Really’ football and leave your street footie antics to the amateurs. If you you still preform the way you did in the African cup then I’d suggest you just take south africa as a summer vacation there’s no point of you guys playing at all, you will embarrass yourselves and the African nation. Everyone world wide knows Egypt was the better side to qualify but thats football, anyways I hope both teams, England and Egypt can gives us a great show of professional football and fair play. Let the Battle in Wembley commence and let the better team win!!

Specialists claim that business loans aid a lot of people to live their own way, just because they can feel free to buy needed stuff. Moreover, some banks give consolidation loan for all people.
