Croatia 2-0 England - Video Lowlights…

…or highlights, if you’re Croatian. Another dreadful performance from England, but a deserved win for Hvartski. Too depressed to discuss everything that was wrong with the Three-At-The-Back Lions right now, but once the crying stops I’ll offer up some thoughts…

I suppose that you can blame Cristiano Ronaldo for this embarassment too.

I think that all England supporters would be alot happier if they just accepted that this is what they should accept from their team. Unfortunately, 40 years of mediocrity has not been enough to set expectations and I’m sure that, once again, someone other than the players will be to blame for this lose.

The worst thing, from an England perspective, is that I don’t think anyone expected a great England triumph. A loss (or in some cases a draw) were the only guesses I heard.

That midfield (both defending and attacking, especially service-wise) is way too talented for this kind of showing.

Meh, I’ll say it again, I think Stevo thinks England can qualify easily, so he is experimenting now. Ok the experiment went horribly but rocking the boat ain’t all that bad.

Other than the current lack of consistency at centre forward position and Rooney slump, the England team is world class. A little burns here and there will only forge a stronger team downt he road.

Croatia is hungry after the World Cup debacle. They took nothing for granted and Bilic, the coach, had them focused. England will no doubt bounce back. The own goal was an unfortunate incident, sh** happens as they say and best for Robinson to put it behind him. England is still a world class player. Croatia has a way to go to be considered #1
