Capello Names 23 for Andorra/Croatia
Fabio Capello has named his 23 man squad for Andorra/Croatia, and it looks like this:
Goalkeepers: David James (Portsmouth), Robert Green (West Ham United), Paul Robinson (Blackburn Rovers)
Defenders: Wayne Bridge (Chelsea), Wes Brown (Manchester United), Ashley Cole (Chelsea), Rio Ferdinand (Manchester United), Glen Johnson (Portsmouth), John Terry (Chelsea), Joleon Lescott (Everton), Matthew Upson (West Ham United)
Midfielders: Gareth Barry (Aston Villa), Jimmy Bullard (Fulham), Jermaine Jenas (Tottenham Hotspur), Joe Cole (Chelsea), David Bentley (Tottenham Hotspur), Frank Lampard (Chelsea), Stewart Downing (Middlesbrough), David Beckham (LA Galaxy)
Forwards: Wayne Rooney (Manchester United), Jermaine Defoe (Portsmouth), Theo Walcott (Arsenal), Emile Heskey (Wigan Athletic)
Good News: Rob Green, deserves a call up. Heskey and Defoe both looked good on Saturday.
Bad News: Still no Ashley Young. What’s Fabio got against him?
Not Sure News: Jimmy Bullard, eh? Hard to say. I like him, but strange time to be naming an uncapped player to the squad. And no Michael Owen. However you feel about Owen, when he’s fit enough to play he’s a lot more more useful to England than young Theo Walcott is right now.

I’d have Theo in the squad. Bu I would have Mickey Owen in as well. Its certainly his squad. Still don’t get the lack of Agbonlahor love either.

Well, it would do the footballing world a great good if Croatia, belarus and Ukraine eliminate England .the Euros were made memorable by the absence of the long ball playig England and also their hooligan fans, so it is not a PROBBILITY but a POSSIBILITY that skillful Croatia, Ukrane and Belarus can do enugh damage to dump the long ball playing england out and do the world a reat deal of favour

The England squad does not look intimidating anymore. Is Gerrard injured?
Agbonlahor deserved a call up before Downing. Maybe Capello is just testing since the opponent is Andorra. That might explain the lack of Owen in the team.

I have just realised that this squad will also face Croatia!
Capello must have a very good plan to leave Owen out of the team, I guess.
I still think that England will manage to get decent enough results.

Kiko, Gerrard has decided he’ll have an op just as England are playing. The skank.
