Jack Wilshere Heading Out On Loan?

Seems I may have gotten a little over-excited about Jack Wilshere’s chances of making the England World Cup 2010 squad earlier this season. I honestly thought the 17 (soon to be 18) year old Arsenal midfielder would play a bit more for Arsenal this season. He’s been involved, but he’s mostly been on the bench. Right now he’s a long long long shot to get a call-up from Fabio Capello.

But. There’s been talk recently of Wilshere going out on loan to Burnley, where he’d surely see a lot more grass and a lot less dugout. Listening to the above bit of press conference, Arsene Wenger isn’t 100% sold on the idea of losing Wilshere, but the fact he’s talking about it suggests it could happen. We’ll find out in January I suppose. Don’t want to put too much pressure on the lad, but I’m really excited to see what he can do with a run of first team football.

Yes he could make the England squad if he plays regularly at Burnley.If he plays on the flanks he will battle it out with Lennon, Wright-Phillips, Wallcott, Beckham, Milner, Ashley Young and possibly Downing, Joe Cole and Adam Johnson (if he joins a PL club) for 4 or 5 places in the squd. Otherwise he could force his way in front of Carrick but that seems unlikely because Hargreaves is the natural replacement.

but he has to play for burnley and it is not simple because Eagles is doing very well for them at the moment…

Good point seif. I was at Molineux on Sunday and saw Eagles up close. He looked quality. But even though he currently plays on the left for Burnley, it’s my understanding that he’s actually a right winger. So there would be room for Wilshere on the left if Eagles goes to the right. But then there’s Wade Elliott to consider, who’s not too shabby a player either.

But we should say he has a chance if he plays. Remember Richardson when on loan to West Brom for the second part of the season, he was good enough to earn an England call-up in June (and he scored twice against USA in that friendly!!)

Jordan Henderson’s impressive form for Sunderland has captured the attention of England manager Fabio Capello.

Henderson, who can play on the right wing or more centrally, will have to maintain that level of performance to have any hope of breaking into Capello’s squad before the World Cup next summer.

But he is now among those players whose progress Capello intends to check on, if not for South Africa then for the European Championship qualifying campaign.

As an Arsenal fan, can I just say…please don’t take Wilshere to South Africa. It’s going to be Theo Walcott all over again. We’re excited about him, too, and he’s got a lot of talent, but putting someone on the squad of a World Cup contender based on a couple of good displays in the Carling Cup and a great preseason performance against Rangers is bonkers.

It’s good for him ,club and the nation if he learn to play for team in high level likes EPL games . Because in the FA cup ,against Westham ,he shows his intelligent and ability but be not enough to play against the opposite player and not help the team enough sometimes and some people learn form the real games . the last things he should remind is one player for team and try to help the team to win not try to show off how many skills that he has like he done in FA cup match or Mickie mouse cup match .
