Will Owen Play Tonight?

Oh, for fuck sake!

Now Lil’ Mick may be hurt.

Michael Owen had a scan taken of his thigh muscle yesterday.

Apparently, all is well. But can we trust that news?

They don’t up at Newcastle, where they were shocked to learn of the scan after the fact. (Just goes to show you the power of Sir Alex Ferguson, who blocked the FA from Wayne Rooney’s scan and sacked a doctor in the process.)

Owen has always been a slow healer, and this could be absolute catastrophe: no Rooney, no Owen, and an unsteady Peter Crouch and untested Theo Walcott as the only front-line players on the roster.
