What Is Pele Smoking?
And where can I get some?
“Joe Cole is a very good player. He has the skills of a Brazilian.”
He goes on to qualify that praise, but still.

I think Pele would know better than you if Joe Cole is like a Brazilian player.

Even though he was one of the best players (if not the best) of all time, Pele is full of shit when talking. People in Brazil barely take into consideration what he says, because he’ll always spill something outrageous. Really, the guy always changes his answers depending on who’s asking… his views are pretty subjective so you can’t take it too seriously.

Ze, I have thought that for a while about Pele. His answers are too diplomatic and he can contradict himself in the same interview many times.
It’s a shame that such a legend can’t be taken seriously. Just like Maradona.

I believe that Pele is right. Cole has the potential. Pele says things to motivate his players -using reverse Psychology. He is astute-people misinterpret what he says. Yes,he was and is the greatest player of all time-better than Maradona. Viva Brasil. Peace.

I think Pele is right! Joe Cole has proven he is an awesome player countless times.
Did you see his set up for Peter Crouch’s goal in the pre-world cup England friendly against Hungary?
Perfect.
