Only gay guys, and girls who like this team, hey i’m English live in South Africa and supporting Brazil!!
This England team is full of hype and it will never win the WC cup ever again till the apocalypse OR Jesus come back as us christians would say it and hey maybe he’ll give the cup to the english to hold!!
This team is BAD,BAD,BAD,BAD,BAD,BAD,BAD……X60

I find it rather funny that people are blaming Portugal for all of the unsportsmanlike plays. Maybe you should go watch the ENTIRE game again. Holland initiated that type of play. Portugal responded. And The skirt wearing Holland team got exactly what they deserved.
But, the past is the past. So please stop your whining. Go back to the Netherlands.. Take off your skirt and bra.. and try to act like a respectful man…
The Holland team is gone.. We are now onto Portugal v. England.
And as far as Deco and Costinha..
Portugal is not a 1 player team. Portugal has many talented players.. (just ask the Mexico team)
Portugal will win..
FORCA PORTUGAL!!

England Fans - You’re the laugh of the World. You have the oldest Football association in the world, you say that you invented football but the truth is that you never evolved the match till the day foreign managers start to arrive your country. Sven, Mourinho, Wenger, Benitez and others but you instead off thanking this guys for helping, no you call them incompetents and try to put them away.
You can call what ever you want to the Portuguese national team but never forget to say that they are much better than yourselves.

Magriços: Laughing stock of the world…
Well let me just say this…
We do not cheat, roll around on the floor like Women or headbutt our way thru football games, you do! If you think that winning a game this way makes you better than us…. What kind of person are you?

Portugal is a dirty team playing? read the statistics of the qualification phase…
http://fifaworldcup.yahoo.com/06/en/t/stats/index.html?zone=eur&ct=7
Today, at the press conference with Eriksson, British journalists were a joke…”portuguese players play dirty”…uhh uhh uhh…
Paul Gasgoine, Vinny “The Butcher” Jones,… were British, weren’t they?…
“Dirty” players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Ricardo Carvalho, Paulo Ferreira, Tiago, Boa Mortem, Nuno Valente are paid millions to play in England…
Seems like a paradox, or maybe
just pure masochism?
Play football next Saturday & c u next European Championship, in 2008…

As a long sufering world cup fan, last night was the final straw and epitomized the malaise that is running deep in this beautiful game. Really, how many more world cups must be subjected to blatant corruption and interfering?
It seems that FIFA have yet again set the wheels in motion for their influence to decide the ultimate winners of this once great tournament.
A great English fan I am, but a proud supporter would I not be if England win this year. Fifa have decided; a mediocre England team will win it.
Let’s look at last night: Unclear as to who might become England’s next opponents the refree decides to take action and tears strips off both sides to weaken them as much as possible for the next round against England.
The world needs to open its eyes and realize that we have lost our beautiul tournament.
Let’s look at some hitorical evidence of Fifa interference: Maradona was cheated in 1994 for speaking out against FIFA, Ronaldo the same in 1998 and even this year. In 2002 Italy were robbed again and Korea made it to the semi to promote football in their potentially very rich market.
The stage is set yet again, for a FIFA-chosen winner to emerge. England will not have to rely on magic to win, because they have Fifa on their side. Why not just present the cup already to England so that the rest of us who care about the game can watch great football to see who “wins” as runners up?
I am an England fan, but if we are to win the world cup, let’s win it fairly and let’s not ruin the greatest game in the world.
Please sit up and listen. Please take note; this tournament is not what we believe it to be.

To be honest guys, I think the only reason why most people hate England is cause the english press make the England team the almighty team and they are the best and the press say stupid and horrible things about the rest.
No team is the best cause one day you beat a good team and then the next you lose to a crap team.
As I said the english press make the football world hate England which is a shame.
To the Ref, keep the cards in your pocket or else

@England fan: better put your brown pants next saturday…
Even better, put them today, cos I can smell it already…
At least show some respect, man… We (PORTUGAL) respect ENG. Actually, I listen to BBC5 every day, and WE, the Portuguese, respect ENG more than yourselves.
Don’t call a team that had one of the game’s all time legends (EUSEBIO) the laughing stock of the world… Just makes you look sao bad…
I understand… It’s the fear, the pressure, the Erect-Sven factor, Beckham underperforming (Victoria’s getting upset and is delighted to go and watch the boys playing… I guess she’ll like to see England play too), Hargreaves left alone just like Rooney, feeling depresed, I mean… I understand all that. But it’s not POR’s fault…!
POR’s just trying to do their best - which was somewhat better than yours, last few times we met. Is this OK with you…? Or are you gonna try and beat us by insults…?
BTW, this is how we win games:

@David: only read your comment on FIFA now. Beware, or ze germans and Blatter will find you…
I honestly wish for a good match between a POR side, stronger than most want to admit, and surelly cleaner than most are saying, simply out of ignorance.
PLUS,
an England side that’s always strong and will always deserve any other team’s respect. For the history, players, passion (atypical for a northern side), etc… Also stronger than what their own press shouts…

I´m impressed… how a small contry like Portugal, with less population than all the other teams that are still in the WC, have too many good players.
in 10 million is harder to make a good team than in 50 million(england), this is to show you that some contries are made to play football, and others play it because is “cute”…
It is possible that Portugal losses against england… but that will not take from Portugal the winning spirit and the love for our country.
Another thing, it takes a person from, as english said, “the 3º world” to give some interess to the Premier League, and give chelsea the titles that they didn´t have.

@England Fan: I thought you were calling the “Magricos” (POR’s team of 66) the laughing stock of the world. Sorry, sorry.
Anyway, you can still use those brown pants… ![]()

Whoever said England doesn’t cheat, did you watch the game where Crouch pulled the T&T player’s hair to gain an advantage and score? Um, that’s cheating, mate. Of course, that was just one of the many examples of FIFA refs ruining this WC, but it’s a glaring one.
I think England will beat Portugal, by the way. Ronaldo will not be 100% (thigh injuries take a long time to fully heal), and they’ll be missing a key defensive player and Costinha too. It’s a shame, because I think a healthy Portugal with a full roster would beat England in extra time.

Figo is my new favorite player. That head butt was awesome. Not kidding.

@England fan: I’d buy you a beer if POR looses, but you’re in the other side of the world… Let’s just hope for a good match!
@John: Costinha IS the defensive player we’ll miss…

Wich England do you represent?
The England that respects public and other teams or the England that travels around the world to create confusion, or the ridiculous Newspaper England that invents interviews, adapts the reality to the will.
You have one of the better teams in the world, that I admit. Who ever goes ahead in the WC i dpn’t know and nobody knows because Portugal as the same quality and we play fair.
The game against Netherland was a mistake of the referee and the Orange Team. Cristiano Ronaldo was put away from the game in a way I never saw in football, i have no doubt that was deliberated, Portugal should make a presentation to Fifa about it.
In 10 faults we have 9 yellow cards and we had the first red card since the Korea/Japan in 2002.
Do you still think we don’t have Fair Play?
Don’t let the Shit Press put Shit on your head.

don’t know about the game on saturday but it’s obvious the portuguese bloggers have definately lost it on this blog..saccharine sweet patriotism..militarism (as armas!)and attempts at humour were generally pathetic (goose don’t lose your gander!)
Goose, don’t lose heart..Portugal were DIRTY! Next time you want to wind someone up check this one I’ve got for

we all know england is doing bad this time. they have not shown their full potential, and i hope tomorrow they show it, because if things continue as they are, the LUSITANS will crush the brits… and this is coming from a LIFE-LONG supporter of ENGLAND.
preduction:
eng 2-2 port
will go to penalty kicks, but cant say who will win, since in penalty kicks every team has a 50% chance of winning.

I’ve read a few comments in here about why aren’t England as good as our national league teams. Simple answer. Premier league et al are multicultural teams. As for Chelsea, how many players are actually British, ditto Arsenal. If Britain could field a team made up of British players (England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland) it would be a team that dominated, and I mean dominated.
Let’s hope that today’s game is one played fairly, refereed fairly, and decided in 90/120 mins, not the debacle called penalties, and I don’t say that because England are crap at them. Penalties is FIFA’s wimpy way of deciding the out-come.
