This is a football not a history blog. Just for the record, no colonial power has anything to be proud of. Hitler may be demonized as the most evil man in history but what he did to the Jews and what he wanted to do to the world wasn't any worse than what England and Portugal did to the peoples and nations they invaded. If you wish to boast, celebrate, and laugh about what you colonial powers have done, and continue to do, then you can't except people to be surprised, saddened, or supportive when something like the London subway bombings or 9/11 happen.
