Quick word from the BBC is that Wayne Rooney has been cleared to play at least in the knock-out stages if not sooner.

Bet there are some Swedish fullbacks trying on boots with extra-sized studs on ‘em right about now.

And I also bet Sir Alex Ferguson just cracked an extra-sized bottle of Dewar’s.
