Ha ha ha, whatever Balfour.

I'm suprised mate, really, even the most patriotic Scot would have to agree there is a certain percentage of your population that make Begbie from Trainspotting look like Father Christmas...

And once you get onto the darker side of Rangers & Celtic, and their links with Protestant verses Catholic secterianism, not just in Scotland but in Ireland, too, well excuse me if I prefer any number of London derbys to that sitution!

Now, now, Scotland is civilised. So there's no need for that language. Don't you have all the kiddie fiddlers? (And the highest number of reported racial crimes). ......What's the difference between a yoghurt pot and England? The yoghurt pot, left long enough would grow a civilised society!

Kiss my arse, I've plenty of family in Scotland, and it's full of the most moronic, knife-wielding thigs on the face of the earth!

There are plenty of decent Scots too, but don't try and tell me that the Glasgow estates etc aren't filled with absolute maniacs who would knife ME on the street just for having an English accent.

Let's not start giving the world a bullshit impression of what Scottish culture is really like, eh. More civilised than England my arse!

Once again Mr Dodds you deal with the cold hard facts in a way that highlights exactly the state english football and its hooliganism problem. I couldnt agree more with you. With regards to this Mr dodds you are a completely right. your behaviour is your responsibility and the england fans should do well to remember this.

last nights result for england is not something i would be entirely happy about if i was a supporter of this nation in question. England were lucky not to be 2-0 down in the first half for a start. once again even a small team like ecuador can exspose englands defensive vulnerability. Better teams such as brazil, portugal, spain, argentina would have punished england and sent them out in the first plane home last night. Scrapping past ecuador 1-0 is not something from which many positives can be drawn. i fear for england should against portugal, who are full of world class players with the ability to punish defensive errors. Then again i couldn't care less if england win, though i will be suprised if they somehow manage to beat portugal.

its good to see them mighty england humilated the conquering ecuador 1-0, we were just merely playing with them like a cat would with a three legged mice, its good to see that we havent played a decent team in the world cup yet, just an ageing swedan team who we simply let have the ball in the 2nd half.

I can't wait for the world cup winners parade back in London, its good to see portugal have players suspended and christiano ronaldo possibly injured,so an easy peasy lemon squeezy job ahead of us.we'll show big phil he was wrong to turn down the england job and have the right sidekick in the former trophies coming out of their arses middlesbrough man steve mclaren.who wants a world cup winner anyway.

Ive got stuck into england world cup fever, its good to see us english are giving the germans and police a good kicking in the streets of their big cities, they tried to invade us nearly 70 years ago,so we've invaded them.

why is it every tournament there are english fans rioting, even in euro 96 in their own backyard they were rioting in london.

i predict england to loose their nerve and bottle again and loose on a penalty shootout to germany in the final.

Hooligans aren't just an English problem. It's an international problem. Check out this article: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/12646650/ They may be picking on the Germans, but the Dutch, Polish and Ukrainians are all mentioned in there too. I can't defend the idea, I think it ruins the sport. There's no other sport that you have to be careful leaving the staidum in case you get a bottle/chair thrown at you. I guess that's the pay off. Oh an I think it's great that the Scottish have managed to keep their hooliganinsm at home. I wish all the other countries with these problems could learn from this.

As a man who has known sir balfour for many a year oncew again i have to agree with the true gentlemans words. If the english want to talk about derby rivalry ie rangers celtic they should remember their own north london rivalry were i seem to remember that the goooners and spurs have had many a violent occasion with each other before and after a game. As for england fans abroad wot do we really expect from a buch of lager swigging five bellies with tattoos from head to toe that think that a pool cue is a weapon and not actually a accessory to a sport. So wot did u expect from the germans for them to go running to the police going please sir he called me a nasty name. No your morons got the response they wanted a fight it is just sad that u think your big enough to start a fight but not big enough to take the responsibility for it
