Phil Shaw at The Independent surveys the dotted history of English B-Team matches.

Tonight’s tilt against Belarus has at least a couple of side stories worth noting: Michael Owen’s effort to return to form, the first appearance of Theo Walcott playing for the national team, and Andy Johnson’s appearance at a time when his transfer to Wigan is being threatened by a late bid from Portsmouth.
