That One Paraguayan Guy Is Still Talking Smack

June 6th, 2006 | By: Shawn | 3 Comments »

Paraguayan and Real Zaragoza defender Delio Toledo, who has previously called David Beckham soft, now labels Our Captain as “ordinary” and then says of England “They think they are better than us, but they are not because we are braver than them.”

Think Sven might find a moment to share that assessment with the lads?

Later on in the article, Paraguayan manager Anibal Ruiz shows more diplomacy and respect.

But Toledo might have thrown a gauntlet he might be sorry about.

Shawn, I tell you; the two candidates to see the red card in the match are Toledo and Beckham, I don’t know exactly why, but I got this feeling for the past months. And I just learn that the mexican referee is very “card happy”, so I expect that not every player will finish the match.

Cheers.
