M: Lampard (Chelsea), Beckham (Real Madrid), Gerrard (Liverpool), J Cole (Chelsea), Jenas (Tottenham), Wright-Phillips (Chelsea), Carrick (Tottenham), Richardson (Man Utd)

F: D Bent (Charlton), Rooney (Man Utd), Crouch (Liverpool), Defoe (Tottenham)

Among the unselected, the injured and the otherwise unable to play: Phil Neville, Paul Konchesky, Sol Campbell, Ashley Cole, Jonathan Woodgate, Chris Kirkland, Owen Hargreaves, Kieron Dyer, Alan Smith and Michael Owen.

Whattaya reckon?

I think it’s a heck of a midfield, a very pacy front line, and a strong central back — with some real doubts on the outer defending positions and — as ever — between the posts at keeper.

Have no idea what Uruguay is bringing to the match, but I kinda like this group.
