Sven, for example, said earlier that his team is better than the portuguese side in anyways. He’s gotta be kidding, right? This overoptimistic atmosphere is ust gonna make harder for us to digest a frustration later on playing portugal.

England WILL NOT win this World Cup. Maybe Mauritania or Mongolia or Maldives could win this World Cup if miracles took place. But no amount of miracle will let the English win this trophy. Not this time. The English are capable of winning trophies only in their own backyard. So, if England wants to become FIFA World Cup champions, they will have to host the event once more.

Well folks England really haven’t been put under much pressure to date and still won! Hopefully they will step it up today and then a few will be shaking in their boots and be eating humble pie.

Rooney hasn’t been at his best but he’s had a few run outs so by today’s match should be firing on all cylinders. Crouch just needs to stand there, do his thing and make the passes. What can I say think Gerrard has been a real trooper. Beckham has been abused no end on numerous blogs but hey he’s kept his team on the winning streak, scored a goal and I think I am correct (I am sure numerous people will come back if I am not) we have the least yellow cards. Unfortunately I am sure when we win Portugal will come back with “We didn’t have our best players out” well all I can say to that is who’s fault is that, they earned the red/yellow cards deal with it not our problem.

Let’s just hope that after some of the disgusting behaviour I’ve had to witness this year, Portugal vs Holland, Germany vs Argentina, Australia vs Croatia, and Australia vs Italy, that today is about the game and fair play. Not some fiasco.

I’m sorry, but if England win the world cup i’ll be amazed. There performances so far have been frankly pedestrian, and although the Portugal/England game is hard to call, I cannot see them beating Brazil or Germany to lift the trophy.

England!! I hope to see you cheering on Portugal in the Semi-Final, after we humble your nation today!!! The algarve pubs will be serving you sardines and red wine!

Hey that’s not right. Yes England have had a colonizing past, but the people of England are far more anti war than those in Australia and USA.
