As I was saying some months ago, Jamie Carragher is versatile enough to play holding mid.

Well, as I also always say, Sven must be reading this blog, because Carragher will start in just that position against Hungary tonight.

Good call Shawn but I can’t help thinking of Kevin Keegan’s last big decision as England manager was pushing Gareth Southgate into the anchor role. Actually it was his second to last decision as England lost to Germany in a qualifier and Kev quit in the tunnel after the game before he’d even made it back to the dressing room.
