Smith Tries to Twist Macca’s Arm

They’ve got a lovely thing going, do Steve McClaren and his former mentor, Jim Smith.

Macca wants Sven’s job.

Smith says he shouldn’t: “I’ve spoken to him and advised him not to take it, but he doesn’t listen to me nowadays.”

That’s what England’s gonna need after Germany: a second-choice, arguably second-rate manager who no longer listens to more experienced voices!
