As a scotsman i have to say that England would have a better chance of winning the world cup with a team captained and built around the undoubted leadership qualities of Stven Gerrard.Beckham is too often marginalised in his position on the right to be an effective leader of his team. gerrard has proven his qualities in two of the most exiting finals in world football in the last decade and yet Sven persists with Becks….out of loyalty no doubt and pressure from the FA.
Sadly i only see one outcome….
an early bath for England and another four years of pointless soul searching from the English press.Good luck by all means..but i cant see them winning it.
