I’ve got this theory that Mclaren will be the first England manager to be sacked before actually taking charge of a game. The FA are clearly bonkers but they know that two or three heavywieght managers will come on the market after the World Cup. What’s a few more million quid paying off Steve and ushering in…who? Van Basten?
