Lil’ Mick Is Done
Michael Owen has ruptured his ACL and flown home to England.
Say whatever you like about him, but nobody wanted it to go this way.

Its a shame , he was getting some stick from the press to it can only damage his confidence more

Defoe cant come in…..it should be a 4-5-1 formation depending on who we’re are playing, or testing out the Rooney – Crouch partnership. Id like to see Gerrard come in as a 2nd striker behind Rooney.

Damn shame, sorry to hear that but it looked serious they way he went off. I’ve always like Owen, England will miss him the rest of the way. I hope he recovers quickly and fully.

yeah~pity him..hope he gets better and, yeah..gerrad’s a brilliant player.he can play several positions which i personally think is a great advantage for the lads..

I sustained a serious injury to my MCL in a similarly freakish and incomprehensible way. One of the most painful, demoralizing and debilitating injuries I’ve ever experienced, and Owen’s is a mite worse. Hope his recovery is quick. I couldn’t walk properly for months.

Poor Michael… that is just horrendous for him. A big miss for England too, a goal every other game…
4-5-1… 4-4-2… 4-3-3…
We all know the personnel to be used. Maybe it’s done us a favour… At Euro2004 England looked like a rigid box… anything that can give us some fluidity would be welcome.
