He has 38 goals in league play in the last two seasons, and he plays in the wide-shouldered and bull-headed style of Alan Shearer and Wayne Rooney. There’s nobody else with exactly his skill set remotely capable of filling a slot alongside Crouch or Owen in a 4-4-2. Plus he looks the part.
