Is it Crouchie or Super Stevie?

June 1st, 2006 | By: Shawn | 1 Comment »

On the one hand, you’ve got Steven Gerrard talking about the work he’s doing to learn that up-front role he played — and not necessarily at world-class level — against Hungary.

On the other hand, word comes that Peter Crouch will start up front against Jamaica on Saturday.

Is it any wonder that all the papers carry headlines like this?

I don’t reckon too terribly much of Sven, and he’s got an unbalanced and injured squad to sort out. But to fault him for experimenting seems pointless. As he says, “I’m very happy if it’s confusing for other people. I can tell you there’s no confusion at all in the training camp.”

Im not a bertting man but im gonna put my 1st bet on this world cup and its on England to win and Steven Gerrard to be the highest scorer of this world cup with liverpool he has been the heart and soal of the team and wen it matters he scores the goals (e.g. Istanbul 3-0 dwn at half time then liverpool came bk to win it then this year fa cup final liverpool behind twice and steven scored twice to hold a drow to go to win on penaltys) anyone who says steven gerrard doesnt deserve a spot on the England team is obviously blind or a Chelsea fan hehe!

Comon Boys 40 years its long enough!!! bring it home!
