Is An All-Foreign Arsenal Good For England?

From The Guardian, this meditation on the fact that Arsenal has started exactly no English players for most of this season and yet stands as Britain’s final representative in Europe.

Does it matter to the national game if the best club sides in the country are devoid of homegrown talent? Should the best teams in the nation be incubators for the nation’s players? Or is the imperative to win regardless of nationalistic considerations?
