Elbows Up, Lads! It’s Shearer Time!

I had no notion that there would be any Alan Shearer news at this tournament, but as usual he has scratched and clawed his way in.

1) Steve McClaren is offering Shearer a coaching role in his England organization.

2) Shearer’s already on hand in Germany, scouting talent for Newcastle, who find themselves in need of a striker, you might recall.
