A footballing nation like England is expected to bring something better in attack than a pair of crutches, a robot and someone who will have to wait outside while the rest of the team go clubbing (and probably roboting)

the only player on the pitch who looks like he would hang out with gareth from the office. i’m a sweden fan, but i love crouchy!

Peter Crouch is an absolute legend. I was there at Old Trafford when the crowd booed him coming on to the pitch and to see him score a hatrick and celebrate in his own unique way was amazing. He is now adored by fans and fellow team mates alike.

Brilliant – a classic Brit moment, it’s up there with the Ricky Gervais dance in The Office.
