Not for the faint of heart:

What on earth was that!?

Can somebody please call up Jermaine Defoe Andrew Johnson and Darren Bent, and get rid of this riff raff already.

A footballing nation like England is expected to bring something better in attack than a pair of crutches, a robot and someone who will have to wait outside while the rest of the team go clubbing (and probably roboting)

Let’s hope this dance doesn’t catch on. Great headline, btw.

EngFans, there’s a bunch of video on YouTube about it, but it seems it was only taped from one camera so it’s only variations of the same thing (plus a guy in the public who also taped it from a distance).

I thought it was pretty cool. :)

I hope that the wonders of medicine can come up with a cure for that before the first game.

Peter Crouch is an absolute legend. I was there at Old Trafford when the crowd booed him coming on to the pitch and to see him score a hatrick and celebrate in his own unique way was amazing. He is now adored by fans and fellow team mates alike.

Brilliant – a classic Brit moment, it’s up there with the Ricky Gervais dance in The Office.
It will be the ‘highlight’ of the tournament!

[...] I had the pleasure to talk with the gang from AOL Sportsbloggers Live on the eve of the World Cup. You can listen to the podcast here. In the interview we discussed the Peter Crouch robot dance, how Italy is practicing its flopping ahead of the World Cup, German dogs and United States players’ nicknames. We also talked a little bit about footy and the fact that people still listen to a band called Right Fred Said. No interview would be complete without the requisite mention of Brazilian women on video. My only complaint with this video: should it be obvious they need to play “Mr. Roboto” by Stixx?? :)
