Everybody who thinks this is the big answer, sit quietly.

Everybody else scream, “NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!”

Personnaly, I like “big Sam” . He is doing a really good job with Bolton. He knows how to motivate his players and has been taking chances with players who were going nowhere with some success. And as the FA is looking for a brit as next manager of England, why not Big Sam, knowing than you don’t have so many great ones at the moment….

I must respectfully disagree with athenes65. Watching Bolton play Marseilles tonight was just like watching England under Sven. A one-dimensional team that is entirely predictable in approach. Most shots from well outside the area. Half-time adjustments (needed given how Marseilles were playing)? Non-existent…

Well Metatone knowing the kind of football Marseille plays under Jean Fernandez, it was always going to be hard to play football for Bolton. On Saturday at Arsenal they played some intertaining and good passing game. And lately Bolton is not the team from the past who was playing ugly.
Plus Allardyce has got average players compare to Eriksson who’s got top ones under his hands. I still think than Sam would show some entertainment to the english fans, which Sven can’t with his no risk tactics who brings no trophies and boredom.
To finish, I would say than the FA don’t have many options if they want a brit.As Curbishley in my sens with Charlton a club as big as Bolton has been less sucessfull. Then you have Stuart Pearce who is lacking experience for the job. Which leave you with Martin O’Neil, but I would find it rather ironic for England to be manage by an irish !
So give a chance to Big Sam, the gay is full of passion an idea, he is a good bet.
