Here are two items:

1) Luke Young is toast. The Charlton captain and potential England player has injured his ankle and will miss the remainder of the spring fixtures and, almost certainly, any chance of going to Germany. And this just after I put the bastard on my fantasy football team….(Go Racing Bickle!)

2) Charlton gaffer — and potential New Sven — Alan Curbishley says he envies Martin O’Neill, a rival for Sven’s job who is unique among the remaining candidates in not currently serving at any club and thus avoiding the spotlight. Curbishley has conveniently forgotten, the prat, that it was the cancer struggle of his wife that led O’Neill to give up the reins at Celtic….
