Arsene Proudly Waves the Tricolore For England
There’s a nice catfight brewing between Alan Pardew, the West Ham gaffer, who says of Arsenal that “It’s important that top clubs don’t lose sight of the fact that it’s the English Premier League and English players should be involved,” and Arsene Wenger, who retorts “”Football is about quality… not anything else. The English team is responsible for representing the English nation. I don’t understand these remarks.”
I’m personally happy that Arsenal are alone in representing English football for the remainder of the Champions League. The more publicity Arsene gets, after all, the more he reminds people that Jose Mourinho is neither the first nor necessarily the biggest twat in football.

Mourinho is out on his own as the biggest twat in football, second is Peter Kenyon and they both have their heads up Mourinho’s arse.

That’s why the English national side is always overrated. People look at the Premier League and go: ‘Wow, that’s some of the most spectacular stuff I’ve ever seen. England has really good football – they’re gonna win the WC for sure.’
Right.
Here the analysis of the starting lineup of the ‘English’ teams during the last CL round:
Liverpool:
4 Spain
1 Ireland
1 Australia
1 France
4 England
That’s a good 36% English.
Arsenal:
1 German
1 Sweden
2 Spain
1 Belarus
2 France
1 Brazil
1 Swiss
2 Ivory Coast
That’s a….stunning 0% English.
Chelsea:
1 Czech Republic
2 France
2 Portugal
3 England
1 Ireland
1 Ivory Coast
1 Holland
A convincing 27% English.
Jeeze, English football is really good. They’re gonna win the WC for sure. Good thing England has a comperatively ‘easy’ group, at least they won’t go out in the first round then. Go Paraguay go!
