A Chelsea Supporter and England Fan Celebrates the Champions League

March 9th, 2006 | By: Shawn | 1 Comment »

So the last English team left in the Champions League is Arsenal, and nothing could be better for the Three Lions.

With Chelsea and Liverpool bowing out of the tournament, John Terry, Joe Cole, Frank Lampard, Steven Gerrard, Jamie Carragher and Peter Crouch will get some much needed rest. And with Real Madrid out, so will David Beckham and (if he ever walks again) Jonathan Woodgate.

As Aresenal’s only English players of note are already injured and increasingly daft (coughSolCampbellcoughAshleyColecough), only French and Spanish supporters need worry about the Gunners’ fitness.

Three cheers for quick exits by the Blues, Reds, and Galacticos, then!

England salutes you!
