1966 and All That

When England last hoisted the Jules Rimet Cup, I was 4 and a half years old and living in Brooklyn and had never heard of soccer.

So I don’t have memories of that amazing day.

But here’s a nice package of interviews and images to remind or reveal to folks what it was like.

It´s a pity that they didn´t add any german voices from that time. I covered that topic yesterday as well, at my very own blog.

And we’d have to endure 40 more years of this if England wins it again. Its just not worth it I say.
